Google's doodle creativity knows no bounds

Google turns 20 today, and to celebrate it, the search giant has released a video doodle with a quirky mix of some of the most popular searches from around the world.

Presented in various languages from English to German, Japanese, Hindi and Arabic, some of the more popular searches in the video include the (in)famous Y2K problem - which turned out to be not really that big of a problem, Pluto no longer being a planet, the perpetual famous "gif or gif", the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton and, to no one's surprise, the Mayan Apocalypse; while some of the more seemingly common yet popular searches include how to dance, how to make avocado toast (complete with an "eww" track) and 'neko nabe' (cats in various pots and pans).

Google released the first version of the now-famous search engine on September 15, 1997 and was formally inducted as a company in September 1998. Today, Alphabet, Google's parent company is valued at over US $730 billion.
