Sharon Osbourne and her children paid a final, deeply personal tribute to Ozzy Osbourne on Tuesday, as thousands lined the streets of Birmingham to say goodbye to the Black Sabbath legend. As the city celebrated its most famous son, his family honoured him not with words, but with subtle, powerful gestures.

At the center of the family's tribute was Sharon, his wife of over four decades, who wore what is believed to be Ozzy’s large diamond wedding ring on a long gold chain.

Each of their children found their own way to honour his legacy. Kelly’s tribute was a visual wink to her father's rock 'n' roll image: a pair of his iconic round, purple-tinted sunglasses.

Even Aimee Osbourne, the family's famously private eldest daughter, made a rare public appearance, honouring her father with a bat-shaped brooch—a pointed reference to his infamous 1982 concert moment.

The tributes continued with his sons. Jack Osbourne pinned a silver cross to his tie, while Louis, Ozzy’s son from a previous marriage, wore a purple tie adorned with skulls and crossbones.

The final journey itself was a city-wide event. Led by the Bostin’ Brass band playing Iron Man, the hearse moved through his hometown, past landmarks like the Black Sabbath Bridge, as thousands of fans chanted "Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy" and showered the procession with flowers.

The cortege of the singer known as "The Prince of Darkness" and the "Godfather of Heavy Metal" was driven through his home city in central England before a private funeral.

It stopped at a bench dedicated to the musical pioneers, and Osbourne's wife, Sharon, and their family looked at some of the thousands of flowers and tributes left by fans.

Osbourne passed away on July 22. No cause of death was given but Osbourne revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. The illness made him unable to walk, and he performed his last concert on July 5 in Birmingham sitting on a black throne.
