Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender, passed away in a prison in New York in 2019. Since then, the US’ Federal Bureau of Investigation have uncovered millions of documents and files related to allegations that he sex trafficked minors for his network of powerful people.

Trump, who has vehemently denied any association with Epstein, got infuriated on Sunday evening and lashed out at Trevor Noah, a comedian and host of the Grammy music awards this year.

Taking to his Truth Social, Trump denied spending time at Epstein's island and threatened to sue Noah for spreading 'fake news'.

"The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards.

"Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.

"Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you! President DJT," he wrote.

Trump, who was friends with Epstein in ‌the 1990s and ‌early 2000s before they had a falling out years before Epstein's first conviction, spent months resisting any release of the files until both Democrats and Republicans in Congress advanced the law over his objections.

The new trove of documents contains thousands of references to Trump, including emails in which Epstein and others shared news articles about Trump, commented on his policies or his politics, or gossiped about family.

The Justice Department also disclosed a spreadsheet created last August that summarised calls made to law enforcement tip lines from people claiming to have some knowledge of wrongdoing by Trump.
