In the latest installment of Epstein files saga, the newly released tranche revealed details of the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's communication and relations with the rich and famous including Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
As required by a law passed by Congress, the Justice Department disclosed more than 3 million pages of documents as well as thousands of videos and photos on Friday evening in connection with the Epstein case.
This new batch of files revived allegations regarding Microsoft founder Bill Gates' connection with Epstein. Moreover, the documents allege that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease after having intimate relations with Russian women and later tried to give antibiotics to give to his then-wife, Melinda Gates, clandestinely.
These allegations appear in emails Epstein wrote to himself back in 2013 and are part of the tranche released on Friday.
Gates vehemently denied the allegations with a spokesman telling the English tabloid Daily Mail, "These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false. The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein's frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame."
The latest release also shows photos of Gates and Epstein together at various locations.
These emails appear to be draft messages written by Epstein, some in the voice of Gates’s then-adviser Boris Nikolic. The email accuses Gates of ending their friendship despite Epstein helping Gates obtain drugs "to deal with consequences of sex with Russian girls."
The emails read, "TO add insult to the injury you them (sic) implore me to please delete the emails regarding your std, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda..."
Appearing to write from the point of view of Nikolic, another email offered his resignation from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
He wrote: 'I have been caught up in a severe marital dispute between Melinda and Bill...
'In my role as his right hand man I have been asked and wrongly acquiesced into participating in things that have ranged from the morally inappropriate, to the ethically unsound and have been repeatedly asked to do thing (sic) that get near and potentially over the line into the illegal...
'From helping Bill to get drugs, in order to deal with consequences of sex with russian girls, to facilitating his illicit trusts, with married women, to being asked to provide adderall fro (sic) bridge touramnts (sic), as I am a medial doctor, but have no presriptions (sic) writing ability.'
The draft also warns Gates of damage to his reputation if Melinda were to file for a public divorce.
"I am concerned that if Melinda decides as you said to file for a public divorce, the damage done to the pledge programme alone would result in billions of dollars of money no longer being used for social good as Im [sic] sure that some wives and husbands would feel free to retreat from their commitments."
Gates and Melinda French Gates were married from 1994 to 2021. Melinda has said that Gates' extramarital affairs and his association with Epstein were factors in their divorce.
