Mammoth container ship 'Ever Given' blocking Suez Canal since TuesdayA mammoth container ship 'Ever Given' has been blocking a southern part of the Suez Canal since Tuesday. It is speculated that the cause for this is high winds that wedged the ship diagonally on the canal. The Suez canal, which accounts for 15 per cent of the world's shipping traffic, is witnessing a massive traffic jam as over 300 ships are unable to pass through where 'Ever Given' is stuck, as per The Times of India.Despite efforts, the ship did not move much and could stay stuck for a week more. Two tugboats are speeding towards the 400 metre long ship in attempts to nudge it.
