In a rather unpleasant affair for Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, the tech mogul's father Errol Musk has publicly appealed to the people of UK to ignore his son and 'avoid listening to him.'
This comes in the wake of Elon Musk's statements criticising British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, accusing him of failing to tackle the issue of grooming gangs during his time as Director of Public Prosecutions in the country between 2008 and 2013. Elon's remarks targetting Starmer, unsurprisingly sparked a lot of controversies online, especially among the British population.
Sharing his opinion on the matter, Elon's father Errol Musk, during an interview with LBC News, said, "I mean, he's just a person. The fact that he has money or something, he's a billionaire or something to that effect."
"I mean, hundreds of thousands of people are tweeting the same things or saying the same things as he is... So I wouldn't just because he's a person that stands out more that they can knock him or just don't listen to him, that's all.. I'd say don't worry about it. Tell him to get lost," he added.
However, Errol also went on to slam the Starmer-led UK government during his interview, saying, "If you're a student of history, and I am a student of history, you would look at history and you would realise what's going on there."
Amid all this hullabaloo involving Elon Musk and Britain PM Keir Starmer, reports have also emerged which revealed the billionaire's keen interest on acquiring stakes of the English Premier League team Liverpool FC. Fuelling rumours, Musk's father Errol recently remarked, "Oh yes, but that doesn't mean he's buying it. He would like to, yes, obviously, anybody would want to. So would I," according to a report by The Time of India.
Commenting on the price at which he thinks the deal can be made, Errol said, "I can’t comment on that. They'll raise the price."
However, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), the current owners of Liverpool, have reportedly refuted claims of any possibility of Musk's acquisition of the club.
