The tremors that hit various parts of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan region caused panic in the areas.
According to initial reports, the quake jolted Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Charsadda, Shangla, Hazara, Nohshera, Abbottabad, Haripur, Chakwal, Swat, Bajaur Agency, Lower Dir, and Malakand among other areas.
