Saudi amusement park ride breaks into half before crashing down

In a chilling incident from Saudi Arabia, an adventure ride turned into a nightmare for adventure seekers after a huge carousel snapped mid-air. Dramatic visuals showing the ride crashing down circulated online and went viral.
The "360 Degrees" ride split in half, with the circular carousel plummeting from several metres above the ground. The amusement park accident left at least 23 people injured, local media channel Al Arabiya TV reported.
The amusement park was located in the Taif area of southwest Saudi Arabia, and the mishap resulted in screams and panic, even extending to other visitors.
In the now-viral clip, the malfunctioning ride was filmed moving back and forth when the central pole suddenly broke into two parts. One person appeared to be thrown several metres away after the ride crashed.
The ride was mostly occupied by young men and women. Among the injured, three are in critical condition, Khaleej Times mentioned in its report.
