Hyderabad: Unknown assailants in US killed a 26-year-old Indian student, pushing his family into a pall of gloom in Hyderabad.
Koyyada Raviteja, 26, belonging to the Green Hills colony in Chaitanyapuri, went to the USA in 2022 to do his masters. After completing his masters degree, Teja was looking for a job.
On Sunday afternoon, unknown persons suspected of being robbers shot him dead. “His roommate informed us about the incident. We didn't anticipate this to happen. He had many plans,” said Teja's father, Koyyada Chandramouli, who runs a cab business.
Teja's younger sister, Shriya, also recently graduated from an American university. While Teja's parents had planned to travel to the US to attend Shriya's convocation, unforeseen circumstances prevented them from doing so. Teja had plans to find a job in the US, then get married and move his parents to US, said his relatives.
It is learnt he had joined a part-time food-delivery job. During one such food-delivery assignments, Teja reportedly confronted the alleged robbers who were attempting to escape from a building, and they fired two rounds at him without warning.
He passed away immediately. While Teja had completed his master’s from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, his sister Shriya graduated with a masters from a university in Chicago.
Teja's father requested the authorities to help him get the body from US.
