The US-Ukraine meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday started "very constructively", the Ukrainian president's chief of staff Andriy Yermak, who is part of the Ukrainian delegation, wrote on X.

"The meeting has started very constructively. We are working," he wrote.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin said in the wake of a big Ukrainian drone attack on Russia on Tuesday that the United States was seeking to understand how ready Kyiv is for talks on ending the war.
