The Ukrainian capital Kyiv ​came under Russian air ‌attack ⁠early on ‌Saturday, with air defence units in operation, officials ​and Reuters witnesses said.

Tymur Tkachenko, ‌head ‌of the capital's military administration, ⁠said drones were attacking the ⁠city ⁠and there was a ‌threat ‌Russian missiles could be deployed.

Tkachenko ‍said a fire had broken out in one district after a strike.
