The US remains in close contact with Turkey and US-backed Kurdish Syrian forces (SDF) from the northern city of Manbij after an advance by Turkey-backed rebels, White House national security spokesman John Kirby said on Tuesday.
The United States and Turkey have reached an agreement to ensure the safe withdrawal of US-backed Kurdish Syrian forces from the besieged town of Manbij, a Syrian opposition source said on Monday.
