The United States, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Egypt called on Friday for a three-month humanitarian truce in Sudan to enable the swift entry of humanitarian aid followed by a permanent ceasefire, the countries said in a joint statement.
The four countries are seen as the most influential with the warring parties which are the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
