Zara Dar, a Texas-based woman who has quit her PhD studies to pursue a full-time career as an OnlyFans model, recently made an interesting revelation comparing her income from YouTube and adult site Pornhub. She runs a YouTube channel where she explains complex scientific theories in layman's terms, and she also posts the same tutorials on the adult site.

In a recent social media post, Dar said that she has been uploading her tutorial videos on both YouTube and Pornhub, however, she said she makes more money from the latter.

On X, posting the screenshots of the video showing the revenue comparison, she said "People may not know this, but I publish the same STEM videos on both YouTube and Pornhub. While YouTube generally generates more views, the ad revenue per 1 million views on @Pornhub is nearly three times higher.”

The video, titled, "What is a Neural Network?" that was posted by Dar has garnered nearly a million views on YouTube and only 32,000 views on Pornhub. However, she claimed that she made only $340 on YouTube compared to that of $1,000 per million views on the adult video site.

The post went viral on social media wherein several users were taken by surprise how an educational video could gather such an audience engagement on a porn site.

One user said, “Using multiple platforms to deliver your message is smart since not everyone uses the same ones.”

Another user wrote, "Smart move! Diversifying platforms can really pay off. Keep up the awesome work with your STEM content!”

“Who knew STEM could thrive on all platforms? Turns out, adulting is maximizing ad revenue—whether it's algorithms or anatomy lessons,” said another.

However, on the contrary, she had put out the same post showing the revenue comparison of her video on LinkedIn, but that eventually led to her account getting blocked there.

In a separate post on X, she said, "I shared the same post on X and LinkedIn comparing the ad revenue I typically earn per view on YouTube versus Pornhub, where I upload my STEM videos. While the post went semi-viral on LinkedIn with many Top Voices reaching out to me, my account was unexpectedly blocked without prior notice!"

Dar said she plans to use what she earns from her modelling career to support STEM projects and scholarships and helps others achieve their dreams.
