On the first day of Winter Session of Parliament on November 29, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav announced that if his government is formed in Uttar Pradesh, the families of the deceased farmers will be given ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh.

“BJP said that the income of the farmers would be doubled. The government should tell what was the stand of the BJP when the farmers started this movement and today when the BJP has withdrawn the law, how did it become in the favor of the farmers?,” Yadav questioned.

“Who will help the families of 700 farmers who died? The Samajwadi Party has decided that if the government is formed in Uttar Pradesh, those families will be given ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh. People of Uttar Pradesh want a suitable government, not a Yogi government. Next time people will choose a suitable government,” Yadav said.
