<p>To evade being grilled by the police about his alleged involvement in a recent crime, the thief Davinder Singh popularly known as Bunty chor, acts naive and at times, becomes Napoleon or king of Cameroon, a foreign national. <br /><br /></p>.<p>“Sometimes, he calls himself king of Cameroon and his wife a queen, who is waiting for him. He says Bunty has been abducted and kept in confinement,” said a senior police officer, adding that though Bunty is not well-educated, he speaks with them in English fluently . <br /><br /> Bunty, who was arrested from a hotel in Bhopal three days ago, was brought to the national capital on Wednesday on transit remand and was produced before the court here. <br /><br />“Bunty was produced before a city court that granted two days police custody. We will try to ascertain whether he committed any other crime in the city after coming out of jail in 2010,” said a senior police officer.<br /><br />A team from New Friends Colony police station in south-east Delhi brought Bunty, who has been involved in over 300 cases of theft, to Delhi in a private vehicle on Wednesday. <br /><br />“The celebrated thief was arrested three days ago from a city hotel in Bhopal. After verifying his finger prints and medical analysis, we got confirmation that he was Davinder Singh,” said the officer.<br /><br />But to police’s surprise, he is acting weird. “Basically, he wants to evade questioning,” said the officer. Police said he wanted to settle down in Nepal. <br /><br />“He aspires to become like Charles Sobhraj this time,” said the officer. <br />Bunty became a celebrity after a Bollywood movie was based on him. He also got a role in TV reality show Bigg Boss in season 4. <br />The reformed Bunty was running a detective agency. However, he is back to business, ignoring all police officials who had helped him to lead a normal life.</p>
