Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday asked Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung not to dissolve the Delhi Assembly anytime soon, saying it would hold public meetings across the city to know whether the party should form government again.

Kejriwal told the Lieutenant Governor that the party was deliberating on whether it should form the government.

Sources said he also handed over a letter which he said the AAP would hold a series of public meetings to ascertain people's views on the issue.

AAP office-bearers are likely to meeting on Wednesday and then state their official position on forming a government. A senior AAP leader said the party was planning to hold  a “referendum” in the city in the next few days to know people's views.
