<p>Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India today launched the locally-produced all-new C 220 CDI sedan, priced up to Rs 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).<br /><br /></p>.<p>The company has started the local production of the sedan within three months of the model's debut in the country.<br /><br />The new C 220 CDI Style is priced at Rs 37.90 lakh while the C 220 CDI Avantgarde is tagged at Rs 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).<br /><br />"We are glad to commence the local production of the C 220 CDI and are confident that we will be able to cater to the increasing demand of this world winner for our discerning customers," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director & CEO, Eberhard Kern said in a statement.<br /><br />The local production will continue the sedan's success story in the Indian market, he added.<br /><br />"With the local production of the new C 220 CDI and in tune with its 'Make-in-India' commitment, Mercedes-Benz India has now an increased localisation content of 60 per cent in this car," Kern said.<br /><br />Mercedes-Benz India has a manufacturing capacity in Chakan, Pune, with an installed capacity of 20,000 units per annum.<br /><br />The company currently rolls out C-Class, E-Class and S-Class luxury sedans, along with the M-Class and GL-Class luxury SUVs, from the plant.<br /><br />The luxury car maker today also announced the launch of the 'Corporate Star Lease programme'. "We have launched the 'Corporate Star Lease' product, a dedicated leasing solution from Mercedes Financial Services that will bring immense value for our potential corporate customers," Kern said.<br /><br />With sales of 3,566 units in the first quarter of the year, Mercedes-Benz has become the leading luxury car manufacturer in the country.</p>
