<p>A woman fell to her death from an amusement park roller coaster in the US state of Texas Friday, authorities said. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The incident happened at Six Flags Over Texas park in the city of Arlington, 370 km north of Texas's largest city Houston, reported Xinhua citing TV ABC13. <br /><br />Park spokesperson Sharon Parker said paramedics responded immediately to the scene but it was too late. <br /><br />"Since the safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority, the ride has been closed pending further investigation," Parker said in a statement. <br /><br />"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends during this difficult time." <br /><br />The Texas Giant which the woman was believed to be riding is reportedly the tallest steel-hybrid roller coaster in the world. It reaches 47 meters in height and has a drop of 79 degrees. It can carry up to 24 riders.</p>
