In a first reshuffle, govt transfers 21 IAS officers

In its first major reshuffle of IAS officers, the coalition government on Friday appointed 1989 batch officer Jawaid Akhtar as the new principal secretary to the department of Health and Family Welfare.

In all, as many as 21 IAS officers have been transferred. Following are their new postings according to an official notification.

Akhtar will hold concurrent charge of the post of Managing Director, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation, Bengaluru. N Nagambika Devi - Principal Secretary, Cooperation Department; L K Atheeq - Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department; Anjum Parwez - Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms; Naveen Raj Singh - Managing Director, Karnataka State Minerals Corporation, Bengaluru; Subodh Yadav - Secretary, Hyderabad-Karnataka Region Development Board. Yadav is also placed in concurrent charge of the post of Regional Commissioner, Kalaburagi Division.

Pankaj Kumar Pandey - Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare and Ayush Services, Bengaluru; Pandey is also placed in concurrent charge of the posts of Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology Department and Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department. J Ravishankar - Secretary, (Municipalities, Urban Development Authorities), Urban Development Department. He is also placed in concurrent charge of the post of Managing Director, Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board, Bengaluru.
