Grant Thornton Bharat to offer employees 'unlimited leaves', 'work from anywhere'

The firm is the first accounting firm in India to introduce an unlimited leaves policy

Accounting firm Grant Thornton Bharat LLP announced a fresh set of changes to their employment policies, the highlight of which was their offer of 'unlimited leaves' and 'work from anywhere'. 

The firm, which made the announcement through a press release, is the first accounting firm in India to introduce an unlimited leaves policy.

Vishesh C. Chandiok, the firm's CEO said that the new minimum for leaves is now the earlier maximum.  

On the new 'work from anywhere' policy, he told Money Control that the Covid-19 pandemic had taught him that working from an office is "not the most effective use of infrastructure." Chandiok added that it would facilitate people to "work out of smaller towns and cities" and "stay close to their families.”
