Defence firm gets key approval, stock buzz likely to follow

A defence manufacturing company has secured a major certification that could significantly strengthen its position in India’s growing military equipment sector. Atmastco Limited said its wholly owned subsidiary, Atmastco Defence Systems Pvt. Ltd., has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) 17051:2018 certification for Level 6 bulletproof jackets. The certification confirms that the jackets meet stringent Indian safety and quality norms.

The company said the approval marks a major milestone in its defence manufacturing journey and will help strengthen credibility among institutional buyers, government agencies and international partners. Following the certification, the company plans to commence commercial production of the jackets.

Management stated that the certification reflects the firm’s technical capabilities and commitment to quality standards in defence manufacturing. The company also said it aims to expand its product portfolio and market presence as demand for indigenous defence equipment continues to rise.
