Vision Group eyes ways to push growth in deep tech

Bengaluru: Vision Group on Startups held its eighth meeting here on Tuesday and discussed issues of priority for 2026-27. The discussions focused on accelerating growth in deep tech sectors, expanding the startup ecosystem beyond Bengaluru, strengthening funding mechanisms and enhancing policy support.

“The Vision Group is focused on ensuring that the state continues to create high-impact startups, while also improving access to capital, mentorship and market opportunities. “By strengthening both policy and ecosystem support, Karnataka is well-positioned to lead the next wave of innovation,” said Prashant Prakash, Vision Group Chairperson.

Karnataka has built one of the strongest startup ecosystems in India, and the next phase of growth will be driven by deep tech innovation, stronger industry-academia collaboration and expansion into emerging regions, he said.

N Manjula, Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, said, “The government is focused on creating a more accessible and inclusive startup ecosystem across the state, with targeted interventions to support founders at every stage of their journey.” Through strengthened policy support, improved programme delivery and expanded infrastructure in emerging regions, the government aims to ensure that startups across Karnataka have the resources, mentorship and market access required to grow and succeed, she added.
