The audience consisted of more than 1,000 CIOs and IT leaders. <br /><br />He also emphasised the importance of bi-modal IT for success in business. “Running in two modes simultaneously is critical to take advantage of digital business,” he said. <br /><br />Highlighting the growing IT market in India, Aman Munglani, research director at Gartner, said: “India is currently the third-largest IT market in Asia-Pacific, and by 2019 India will become the second-largest IT market within the Asia-Pacific region, after China.” India is expected to overtake Australia at the second slot. <br /><br />“Data centre systems will grow 3.9 per cent in 2016, with most of this growth coming from enterprise network equipment and servers that will grow at 5.9 per cent and 5.3 per cent, respectively. <br /><br />IT services, which accounts for 18.1 per cent of overall IT spend in India, will be the fastest growing segment in India in 2016 with 13.8 per cent growth year on year. Within it, business IT services will grow 15.2 per cent over 2015 figures,” he added.<br /><br />Software, which accounts for nearly seven per cent of IT revenues in India, will grow 12.7 per cent as a segment, but within this segment, enterprise application software will be the fastest growing sub-segment in 2016, with revenues forecast to grow 16.2 per cent over 2015. <br /><br /></div>
