Stating that each sports clinic will be built at a cost of about Rs 2 crore, Reddy said, “The centres will be equipped with a high-tech operation theatre besides a stems cell lab.”

He said the centre will be adopting the latest technologies like platelet-rich plasma therapy.
“Emergency medical teams at the centres will also extend emergency services care to the sports persons in the stadium during matches,” Reddy said, adding, the clinic will be initially opened in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

With the leading Indian Super League team, Chennaiyin FC, already associated with Global Health City for a medical partnership for the second edition, the Group is in the process of roping in a couple of Pro Kabaddi teams into its net.

“We are in talks with Pro Kabaddi teams, and soon we will tie-up with them too,” Reddy said, after unveiling the Chennai sports medical centre.

According to Reddy, the Group has slated various outreach programmes for the benefit of sports individuals in schools, colleges and organisations across various states.
