These groups will interact with the sectors like banking, telecom, textiles and export to address their concerns and solve impediments coming in the way of transition to GST regime.<br /><br />Groups have also been created to look into IT and ITes, textiles, gems and jewellery, food processing, ecommerce, oil and gas, pharma and MSME. <br /><br />Senior officers from the Centre and states who are the members of the group will interact and examine representations received from trade and industry associations bodies of their respective sector, a finance ministry statement said.<br /><br />“These 18 sectoral groups representing various sectors of the economy and containing senior officers of the centre and states are being set up to ensure smooth implementation of GST by timely responding to the issues and problems of their respective sectors,” the statement said.</div>
