Idea Cellular launches 4G in Bengaluru

Idea Cellular, on Thursday launched its 4G LTE services in Bengaluru. With this launch, Idea 4G LTE services are now available in 39 towns in Karnataka.

“Within the next year, Idea 4G services will be launched in 12 circles, which covers 60 per cent of the market in India, and 75 per cent of Idea operations,”  said Ambrish Jain, Deputy Managing Director, Idea Cellular.

On the market in Karnataka, he said, “ We have 9 million users in Karnataka, and it is a huge market for data consumption,”  adding, “Bengaluru is a critical market, and is positioned in the top three, led by Delhi and Mumbai.”

Idea Cellular is the only provider of 4G services in 18 towns in Karnataka, and this will be true for 35 towns by March 2016.
