The Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE), a leading provider of customised training solutions for industry partners, has started developing the Digital Education Stack (DES).

Speaking to DH, Ravi Panchanadan, MaGE Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said the project is in the line with the Digital India Stack for payment and citizen service.

"DES is a platform where we would like to focus on providing end to end solution in the learning process. It will focus on learning, training and testing. We have entire portfolio constitutions in the value chain with our subsidiaries (acquired by the company)," he said.

Panchanadan said the company already testing the platform by unifying MaGE's various services. "This is expected to be released in the next six-seven months. It will help us to deploy our services across the globe and it will be backed by technologies involving Data Analytics and Machine Learning," said Panchanadan.

India Stack is a project for creating a unified software platform to bring India's population into the digital age. It will have a set of APIs that allows governments, businesses, startups and developers to utilise a unique digital infrastructure to solve India’s problems.

Besides offering talent pool in the area of banking, healthcare and IT, MaGE offers a turnkey solution in the field of education, assessment services (MeritTrac), placement and HR services (iRize), professional training (Manipal ProLearn) and learning management system (EduNxt).

MaGE is known for its customised training solutions for industry partners, especially in the banking and financial services space. Also, its direct-to-learner diplomas and certificate programmes in fields such as IT, finance and management.

According to Panchanadan, MaGE wants to integrate all these in a seamless way so that others can also come on top of the platform to offer their services. "We want the stack becoming a holding platform where our other partners can also deploy their service," he said.

Tie up with Equifax

Manipal ProLearn, the professional learning arm of MaGE, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Equifax Inc to collaborate on producing industry-ready professionals in Data Science and analytic skills for the Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector.

Atlanta-headquartered Equifax will help MaGE to bridge the gap between what is the actual requirement of the industry versus what is being taught to the potential students in the field of Data Science/Data Analytics.

MaGE registered a revenue of around Rs 1,000 crore last year, and this is excluding the overseas operations.
