The congress will be held between May 19 and 21, with delegates representing over 60 countries. “The combined presence of the entire range of professionals involved in or related to the sector, including producers, manufacturers, traders, suppliers and buyers, undoubtedly shapes it as the largest and the only worldwide event of the nut and dried fruit industry,” the council said in a statement.

“Monographic round tables will reveal the latest statistics and new crop forecasts, whereas two keynote speakers (Gopi Kallayil, Chief Evangelist and Brand Marketing at Google, and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) will offer a different perspective,” it said.

The programme also includes a Nutrition Research Update, chaired by Jordi Salas-Salvadó (INC World Forum for Nutrition Research and Dissemination) and featuring Richard Mattes (Distinguished Professor of Nutrition Science at Purdue University, USA) and Viswanathan Mohan (President and Director of the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation, India) as guest speakers.

In addition to this, the Congress will feature a scientific seminar on technological improvements in the cashew industry. “This congress brings together top players in the nuts industry globally. Scientists from all over the world are participating in it.  Nutrition- related research will be discussed at this conference,” said Pratap Nair, Chairman of the Congress, adding that 150 delegates from India are expected
