Sensex tanks over 1,700 points; Nifty below 14,600

Benchmark index Sensex on Friday tanked by over 1,600 points, while Nifty dropped below 14,600 amid a global selloff.

At the time of filing the copy, Sensex was trading 1,744.08 points down at 49,295.23, while Nifty was at 14,594.90.
