A range of unique travel offerings, specifically innovated and designed to fascinate the Indian traveller, have been the draw at this year’s Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) — , claimed to be India’s oldest and biggest travel show — held at Bengaluru.

Acknowledging the freshness and thoughtfulness in the said products, TTF feted their creators with the Most Innovative Product Award on Sunday.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) received an award for rolling out a special train for India’s farmers, called Kisan Yatra, which helps them learn new farming and marketing techniques. The Wayanad tour desk received an award for promoting tribals and natural tourism destinations, while the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) was honoured for launching heli-tourism. Similarly, one of the most unique offerings this year is by Travelpills — which provides for medical and emergency needs (fitness kits, first aid, medication, etc) for tourists prior to, and during, their travel.

Karnataka Tourism also received a decoration award for the massive, elegant pavilion it had set up.

Rajiv Agarwal, Joint Managing Director of Fair Fest Media, who presented the awards to the winners, said that the number of visitors to the event has gone up, as seen at the current event. TTF Bengaluru 2016 drew curtains on Sunday.
