Minister for Backward Classes Welfare C Puttarangashetty expressed his suspicions over the involvement of his ex-personal assistants in connection with the unaccounted cash of Rs 25.76 lakh, which was seized from a typist working at the Minister’s office, in Bengaluru on Friday.

Speaking to reporters at his residence at Uppina Mole in the taluk on Saturday, Puttarangashetty said that he has no connection with the seized money and ready to face any probe.

Suspecting conspiracy, he said, “Two of my former PAs — Manjunath and Krishnappa — were removed from work as they were caught forging my signature. According to information, Krishnappa had visited my office two days ago,” the Minister said.

Puttarangashetty said, “Mohan, who was caught with the money, was not my PA but, a typist at my office. I have not seen his face properly. There is high security in Vidhana Soudha. How is it possible to carry such a huge amount,” the Minister questioned.
