The 10K run on the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) runway on May 8 has been postponed. Security and related challenges have been cited as the reason by the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which had organised the event.
A BIAL spokesperson indicated that the race, designed as a commemoration of the airport's 10th year of operation, had received an overwhelming response from runners across the country. "We look forward to hosting them at our airport soon. BIAL will issue a new date for this activity shortly," the spokesperson added.
