Two police constables patrolling NICE Road in southern Bengaluru at night were injured after falling off their motorcycle whose wheels got entangled in sesame plants that were left to dry by farmers.
Shankaregowda and Mahesh, posted at the Thalaghattapura police station, were near the Varahasandra junction at a dead end where sesame plants were left to
dry.
The motorcycle’s wheels got entangled in the plants, and the policemen fell down.
While Shankaregowda suffered grievous injuries, Mahesh escaped with minor bruises. Shankaregowda is undergoing treatment at the BGS Hospital.
The Kumaraswamy Layout traffic police have taken up a case.
