3-yr-old dies in mishap, father booked for rash driving

A three-year-old girl died and her father sustained injuries after he lost control of his bike near the Bellahalli flyover on Sunday night.

According to the Chikkajala traffic police, Rakesh Kumar was riding home towards Bellahalli from Kogilu Junction, with his daughter Himanshi seated in front. When he was near the Bellahalli underpass, he lost control of the vehicle and fell on to the road. Himanshi was rushed to hospital, but did not respond to treatment and passed away.

The police said that since the girl died due to the negligence of her father, they have booked him for rash and negligent driving. Kumar, who is currently undergoing treatment, is an interior designer and was staying with his children and wife Sangeetha at Bellahalli.
