ACB raids three officials for having illegal wealth

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday raided eight places belonging to three government officials as part of an anti-corruption drive.

The suspected officials are believed to have amassed assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.

Vijayakumar B Nirali, Joint Director and Gazetted Assistant, Office of The Commissioner, Handloom and Textiles, Railway Parallel Road, Bengaluru, had his two houses and office raided.

Gangaiah, Deputy Director, Handloom and Textiles, KG Road, Bengaluru, faced raids at his house in Health Layout, Vishwanedam Post, farmhouse at Doodanakkeri village, Channarayanapattana taluk, Hassan, and office.

ACB sleuths raided K N Rangaswamy, ACF (Social Forestry), Chikkamagaluru, at his house in Kalyan Nagar, Chikkamagaluru, and office.

ACB officials have booked all the three officials.
