ACB registers FIR against KPMG for corrupt practices

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday registered an FIR against KPMG Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd, Koramangala for negotiating with a bidder of a government project and indulging in corrupt practices.

The FIR was registered following a complaint by the Commissioner of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department stating that Raghava Jayashankar, Manager, KPMG, along with some bidders and mediators had attempted to compromise with the tenders floated by the department and tried to get the allotment of tenders to bidders who did not have the required technical qualification.

The department had earlier appointed the company as consultants for the tender process to supply and fix GPS machines to 3000 vehicles transporting food grains.

The complaint further stated that the manager with his allies attempted to influence public and government servants of the Department by indulging in corrupt practices.

Along with the complaint the Commissioner also submitted a voice recording of the manager, the bidders and the mediators to the ACB.
