A youth from Bengaluru died on the spot, while two sustained injuries as the bike they were riding collided with a truck on Mysuru-Hunsur road near Hootagalli here on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Amarnath (27) from Amruthanagar in Bengaluru. Prakash of Koorgalli and Belli Babu from Bengaluru are the injured. They are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the city.

The police said Amarnath and Babu had come to Mysuru to meet their friend Prakash. The trio, on a single two-wheeler, were bound for Prakash’s house after a party. When they arrived near Hootagalli, the bike rammed into the truck coming from Hunsur.

Rules violated
