
Two pedestrians were killed after they were knocked down by BMTC buses in two separate accidents in Yelahanka since Wednesday.
Syed Miraz (23), a labourer, was crossing a road near RMZ Galleria apartments in Yelahanka, when a BMTC bus hit him. He died on the spot. The accident happened around 3.30 pm on Wednesday, the police said.
The police have arrested Abdul Jabbar, the bus driver.
In another accident, Krishnappa P (70) was crossing Kogilu-Bellahalli road when a BMTC bus coming from Hoskote knocked him down at around 8.20 am on Thursday morning.
Krishnappa, a daily wager, was on the way to his house in Kogilu. The police have arrested the bus driver Shivakumar.
The Yelahanka traffic police have registered two cases and are investigating.
