Last Updated 13 April 2014, 19:43 IST

Brigade Road reverberated with Aam Aadmi Party slogans on Sunday as the party organised a flash mob on the second consecutive day of its campaign on the stretch.

Numerous college students, young working professionals and senior citizens took part in the campaign, pitching hope on the party for a change. The party had organised a signature campaign against corruption before the flash mob dance took off.

The flash mob and the “Jhadu dance” where party activists danced for their signature song was a crowd-puller as young and old sung and danced along with the team.

The team members also presented patriotic songs as the crowd joined in the chorus, while a variety of Aam Aadmi caps, some with lights flashing on them, were also sported by supporters, drawing curious onlookers, especially foreign tourists who clicked photographs with party members. Popular singers too took part in the campaign and performed for the audience.

Party candidate V Balakrishnan addressed the gathering and urged them to vote for change. “I am one of the few candidates in the fray who does not have a criminal case against me,” he said, urging the public to support honest candidates.

He further added that the Palike has spent Rs 10,000 crore on roads in the last decade and yet there has been no improvement. “Do you see good roads in the City?” he said,  adding that the City needed a change. Further, he assured that the party representatives would behave well in Parliament. The party has lined up two more events on Brigade Road ahead of the elections.
