Cashier’s organs donated

Krishnaiah G S (43), who worked as a cashier in Jigani, met with an accident and was declared brain-dead. His family consented to donate his organs. Subsequently, five needy recipients benefited.

Krishnaiah was riding a bike from Jigani to a nearby village at 11:30 pm on April 24, along with a pillion rider. He collided with another biker and fell down, losing consciousness. The pillion rider, who had fallen down as well, gained consciousness after some time and found Krishnaiah with a head injury.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, and later to the Sparsh Hospital in Bommasandra, where he was declared brain-dead. His kidneys, liver and corneas were donated.
