Heavy rainfall in some parts of Bengaluru on Thursday evening left many commuters stranded on roads although there were no reports of any damage, barring a tree fall near Manipal Centre on Dickenson Road and a house being flooded in the HMT ward.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Center (KSNMDC) said Kengeri, Rajarajeshwari Nagar and other western suburbs received up to four mm of rainfall.

VV Puram in southern Bengaluru received 1.5 mm while Bommanahalli, Somanahalli, Anjanapura, Konanakunte and KR Puram received 0.5 mm of rainfall each.

The India Meteorological Department recorded traces of rainfall until 8.30 pm on Thursday and has predicted thundershowers for Friday.

Officials in the BBMP control room said there was no problem of waterlogging.
