JOIN USThe mishap occurred when the JD(S) Chief was on his way to Jakkur Aerodrome around 7:30 am. The auto driver immediately drove the vehicle away. Stating that no one was injured, police said Deve Gowda resumed his journey soon after. Police have tracked the auto’s registration number and are on the lookout for the driver.
Newspaper vendor killed
A 17-year-old newspaper vendor boy was killed on the spot when he was knocked down by a school van on CMH Road in the Indiranagar traffic police limits, on Friday morning.
The victim has been identified as A Sunil Kumar, a class 10 student at United Mission High School and a resident of Shanthinagar. He was on his two-wheeler to distribute newspapers, when a van attached to Rayan School rammed into his bike. The police have arrested the van driver, Arun Kumar.
Security guard murdered
A 33-year-old security guard was found murdered in KS Layout police station limits on Friday morning. The victim Mohan from Channarayapattana was staying in JP Nagar. Police said people informed them about a body in an open space at Jaraganahalli. The motive for the murder is yet to be known.
