Sita Bhateja Speciality Hospital founder is no more

Noted doctor and philatelist Dr Sita Bhateja, 90, passed away at 7.45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Bhateja was admitted to the hospital that she founded, the Sita Bhateja Super Speciality Hospital in Shanthi Nagar. She was also a former managing trustee of the hospital.

She was undergoing treatment for leukaemia. Bhateja is survived by her three sons. Her husband had passed away many years ago.

She had a fondness for roses and to many young children and philatelists, she was known as Rose aunty.
