Police have arrested five men for running a betting racket in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) in Southeast Bengaluru. They also seized 50 mobile phones and laptops from the suspects. The kingpin has been identified as Gowtham, of Hoskote.
The group operated out of Seegehalli, Kadugodi, and held bettings in Hoskote, Kadugodi, KR Puram and other places in the city. The Mahadevapura police raided them following a tip-off.
