Four persons held for killing two youths

In swift action, police arrested four people in two separate murders happened last week in the west police division on Wednesday.

Kamakshipalaya police investigated the murder of Koteshwara (21), a resident of Kengeri, while Byatrayanapura police probed the killing of Rahul alias Siddesh (18), both of which happened on April 12.

Sharath Kumar S alias Suresh Siddoji Rao (22) residing in Kamalanagar and Vinay alias Vini Lokesh (24) living in Shivanahalli in Rajajinagar were arrested in connection with Koteshwara’s murder.

Police said Koteshwara and Suresh had business rivalry. On April 12, Suresh, Krishna, Vinay and five others called Koteshwara and asked him to meet them near a bridge in Sunkadkatte.

Koteshwara, who arrived at the spot with his associates Anthony Christy, Kumar and Chandrappa, was stabbed to death while others were attacked.

Based on a complaint lodged by Koteshwara’s brother Dhareshwar, Kamakshipalaya police hunted the murderers by forming a special team and made the arrest.

They attributed the murder to financial and business disputes.

Meanwhile, the Byatrayanapura police have arrested Saddam Hussain alias Siddique (20) and Mohammad Shafi (19) for murdering an 18-year-old youth Rahul alias Siddesh near Nayandahalli metro station before Kwality biscuit factory. The duo, residents of Gangondanahalli, had robbed Siddesh’s mobile phone. Based on the complaint lodged by a policeman Jagadish, the police formed special team to track the culprits. It is learnt that the two had several robbery cases registered against them in Chandra Layout and Jnanabharathi police stations.
