HC to commission: Make BWSSB party in pothole case

The two-member commission set up by the Karnataka High Court, to inspect areas in which the pothole filling work is being undertaken by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), submitted its first preliminary report to the court on Tuesday. The inspection was carried out in Yelahanka on Monday evening.

The court directed the commission to make Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) a party in the case, because pipeline laying and road cutting work undertaken by BWSSB, is creating ditches on the roads.

The commission further stated that it will inspect areas in Mahalakshmi Layout on Tuesday. The court asked the commission to carry out inspections in various areas and submit a second preliminary report on Thursday. The court adjourned the case to Thursday.
