History-sheeter stabbed to death

A history-sheeter was hacked to death by a rival gang member in KHB Colony at Tilak Nagar on Sunday night.

The victim has been identified as Rajashekar (22). His attacker Karthik, also a history-sheeter, was injured in the attack and is admitted to hospital.

According to a senior police officer, Rajashekar and Karthik were leaders of two gangs, and were fighting over who would take the lead in the local fair this year. Even though Rajashekar was actively participating in the fair, Karthik and his associates wanted to play a more prominent role in the activities.

Karthik went to Rajashekar’s house and warned him against participating in the fair. This led to a fight between both the gangs. While Rajashekar, who was stabbed, collapsed to the ground, Karthik sustained stab injuries on his neck and hand. Rajashekar was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around 2.30 am on Monday.

The Tilak Nagar police have taken up a case and efforts are on to nab Karthik and his associates.
