Ignored by BBMP, residents fix footpath using their own funds

The residents of Gulmohar Enclave in Marathahalli fixed a footpath on their own after the civic authorities failed to do so. Repeated pleas by the residents to the BBMP to repair the footpath fell on deaf ears, which forced them to take up the work.

“As usual, the civic body has not given any importance to our complaints. We were fed up. So, we collected funds, bought the necessary materials and fixed the footpath,” said a resident of the apartment.

“The road edge was also not levelled, due to which we were finding it difficult to drive on this stretch. We have levelled the road, too,” he added.
