Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister H K Patil has filed a complaint with the cybercrime police stating that someone hacked his website on Saturday.

According to the minister, hackers posted the message "Indian dogs go back" on the site. He further said in the complaint that hkpatil.com, built in July 2013, had been his official site. It was launched in 2014.

Besides posting an account of his political journey, Patil had also listed the achievements of the state government.

The minister said someone hacked his website at 3 pm on Saturday and posted anti-national messages apparently to disturb national unity. The hacking has damaged the trust and confidence in him. He sought action against the unidentified hackers.

The cyber crime police registered an FIR under section 66(c) of IT Act and IPC sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 295(A) (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs). They are trying to restore the website.
